About the event
RFN has engaged local as well as national and international support to provide relief to the Nepalese people in rural and remote parts of the country since its inception in 2015, after the devastating earthquakes that took over 8,000 lives and left many more destitute.
The foundation has raised over $200,000 and carried out range of projects which includes – building classrooms in multiple schools, water tank to service the school/village, library, computer room, distributed furniture in the schools, school playground, women’s community home to name a few.
Annual Gala Dinner is has proven to be RFN’s major fundraising activity in the past however the 2020 & 2021 events have been postponed due to Covid 19. The fundraising is assisted by the foundation overseeing several fully guided trekking experiences to the Himalayas each year. These combine trekking with volunteer work on a rebuilding project, some of which are mentioned above.
