REACH For Nepal postpones all trips to Nepal in 2020 because of Covid-19

REACH For Nepal Foundation (RFN) has postponed all trips to Nepal that were scheduled for 2020 to a later date in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

RFN organises multiple trips a year to Nepal including trips for Canberra School & Universities and one for the general public (in October of each year) all of which have now been postponed.

The general public trekking & community project is once in a lifetime opportunity to trek the off the beaten track in Nepal combined with a hands on project in a remote setting to assist people less fortunate than us here in Australia. This popular trip combines humanitarian aid, assistance in building schools or other infrastructure in a remote part of Nepal, and trekking the Himalayas at low to moderate altitude. Departure is set for 6 Nov 2021 from Australia.

In the past four years, RFN has taken almost 140 Australians to Nepal to volunteer in numerous rebuilding projects. One tourist supports 11 Nepalese families while in Nepal thus making a Nepalese economy heavily reliant on the tourism sector.
